About Gortonasta | The Rules | Unwritten Rules and Form | Snacks
A full game of Gortonasta might last 3 hours so snacks and drinks are critical. Here's some suggestions...
Drinks
Water - Simple indeed, but the classic way to quench the type of thirst that comes from shuffling the deck between hands.
Hot Tea - Whether warming up in the cold of winter or the perfect way to get to bed, hot tea is a favorite. To seem even more impressive, try a massive selection and loose leaf teas.
Dessert Wine - What better way to add another dimension of amusement to card play than adding a little alcohol to the mix ? Any wine will do, but slowly sipping a bit of dessert wine while decimating your opponents feels quite civilized.
Rum and Coke - When the competition gets hard, there is no substitute. A bit of rum and some bubbles goes a long way.
Snacks
Chips and Salsa
Whether sweet or spicy, some salsa with chips is a great, easy snack to go to while shuffling and playing.

Cheese and Crackers
Water crackers and brie ? Wheat crackers and mozzerella ? Cheese and crackers are a delicious accompanyment to Gortonasta. Add some herbs or tapenade to go all out!

Any Kind of Cookie
You cannot go wrong with cookies- that too applies for Gortonasta.

Bagel Bites
Despite their prepackaged nature, there's something about the combination of mini bagels, sauce, cheese and massively processed meats that just works for Gortonasta.
